Founded by music industry veterans with years of experience in
development, promotion, and management, Hydrogen Records is
dedicated to connecting artists with the right people.
Our key executives:
Mark Klein
Mr. Klein has been part of the music industry for over ten years, beginning with Relativity Records and
later with Sony Music at the Epic Records Group. At both companies, Mr. Klein was headed up music video
promotion and visual marketing. In this capacity he handled relations with MTV, BET, THE BOX, VH1 and
other prominent national and international outlets along with local market video shows. Whether first
exposing the industry to artists like Silverchair and Bone Thugs 'N Harmony or working on the campaigns
for global acts like Michael Jackson, Gloria Estefan and Oasis, he was at the forefront in expanding the
realm of visual promotion as a leading means of “breaking” new artists and records.
His numerous production credits include: oversight of MTV Unplugged tapings for Babyface and Oasis and
production of live tapings of The M People, Rage Against The Machine, Silverchair and Oasis.
John Robson
After directing music videos in the late ‘70s, Mr. Robson produced music news segments for MTV Music
Television from 1981 through 1984. In 1985, he began an 11-year run at THE BOX, Music Television You
Control. After handling a wide range of responsibilities, he became Director of Programming in 1991 and
Vice President, International Programming in 1994. While at THE BOX, he developed many on-air features
that are the nucleus of BOX programming, including BOXTalk, New Videos This Week, Breaking Out of THE BOX
and BOXTops. His involvement culminated with the successful launch of THE BOX in the UK and the Netherlands.
